We reserved a room months in advance for my wife's graduation in the area. When we got there, we weren't sure the staff had a room ready for us. This was more apparent by the condition of the room we were given. Our room had a distinct, strong mildew smell to it and remnants of food on the floor by the jacuzzi tub. The morning after I figured out the mildew smell was coming from the wet rug around an unplugged mini-fridge. In addition, we were in a room above the two ballrooms at the resort. Upon arrival, we figured out that a prom was taking place in those ballrooms. From which the loud music did not stop until 1030-1100pm. Which, combined with an early graduation ceremony, left us frazzled and exhausted the next morning. I alerted the staff to the room condition at checkout. They were nice and remorseful. But, having been married at Lakeview (which we did get a discount for), we expected better treatment. Our stay could have been an off night for Lakeview. However unless you are willing to deal with events going on at Lakeview that could interrupt your schedule, this might not be the place for your stay. Our weddinglast year was beautiful; however, as a resort/hotel Lakeview is lacking.
